Data privacy is an important consideration for iota-ML, and it is for this reason iota-ML is built as an experimentation and predictive analytics platform for use only with pre-processed datasets.

The platform is ready to receive datasets without any need for PII. In fact, the data preparation part of our machine learning engine has several search algorithms that look for common types of PII and will alert users if anything needs a review before being processed.

Our friendly consultants will work with you to ensure you have the right data to receive awesome results, and this includes the full anonymisation of your data and the feature engineering stages.

How do we store your data?

For each experiment you submit, the data is stored on our secure servers before being processed by our machine learning engine. The data can be retained so that multiple analyses can be performed – for example, across multiple target variables. When you are done, you can delete experimental data within your client dashboard.

Where do you send my data?

Nowhere – all data processing happens on our secure platform, no data is processed in any other environments, i.e. other cloud locations.

Does any of this affect my statutory rights under existing GDPR and Data Protection legislation?

No, absolutely not. If you have an account on this site, you can request to receive an exported file of any personal data we hold about you, including any data you have provided to us. You can also request that we erase any personal data we hold about you. This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes within the requirements of the law.
